Diane Maclean’s sculptures explore reflection, colour, movement and sound. Diane will be installing 3 new works at Cheeseburn in April 2015:
Echo 2015 – stainless steel and coloured stainless steel
Echo is a silent evocation of the past, perhaps of the time of the Vikings. Three rings of diminishing size, like fading sound, hold the curved shape of the horn. The largest ring is of red coloured stainless steel, the colour being created by light.
Equivalent 1 2013
The clean lines and geometric form of the pyramidal sculpture bring into focus the complications of nature. Light catches the polished surfaces.
Equivalent 9 2015
A smaller version of Equivalent 1, the base of the sculpture has an incrustation of little pyramids that catch the light from various angles.
