Sunderland University Graduate Rhiannon Livesley has produced an installation of 24 intimate images of artists at work.

“For me, photographing artists in their studios became more than capturing the moment, it was about telling people’s stories. Documenting the work of others has been captivating and truly inspiring and working at Cheeseburn has opened up new ideas and opportunities for me in the art world”. Rhiannon Livesley, Photographer.

“We have had great support over the last 3 years from Sunderland University’s Graduate Placement Scheme which has introduced us to exciting new graduates each year who have worked with us to develop projects with artists, arrange exhibitions and new business opportunities. This year Hannah Foulds has supported us to promote our new Commissioning guide, website content, work on new artists installations and engage with the public on our opendays. As a Sunderland photography graduate we asked Rhiannon Livesley to shoot images of over 20 artists and to make a video of a major new installation we are commissioning – it has been fantastic to see these graduates growing in confidence, having new experiences and  developing their creative practice.”  Matthew Jarratt, Curator, Cheeseburn Sculpture.
